About GLS Equity

One place for US stock and options traders — the tools, the tracking, the data and the lessons.

The short version

GLS Equity is a small New Zealand company that runs glsequity.com: nightly valuations of about 7,400 US stocks, scanners for stocks and options, a watchlist with alerts, a trade journal that imports from your broker, and a course that takes someone from zero to trading stocks and options with confidence, including the wheel strategy. It costs $49 a month, or nothing if you only want the free parts.

Who is behind it

GLS Equity was built by a trader with more than twenty years in the markets, who trades the wheel strategy on his own account every week. He built it because he could not find the tools he needed in one place for a reasonable price. It is run day to day by him and his business partners — the GLS team, all of them active traders who use the site every day themselves.

We don't put our names on the site. That is a deliberate choice, and we'd rather say so than invent a persona: we are not selling a personality or a track record, and we don't want anyone subscribing because of who we are, or are not. We want you to subscribe because the numbers hold up when you check them.

What happens every night

At 07:00 UTC the valuation engine pulls fresh financial statements and prices from Financial Modeling Prep and option chains from Polygon, converts foreign companies' accounts to US dollars, and runs nine valuation models on every stock — the same nine, the same way, every night. The Wheel Score, Piotroski health score and moat score are calculated from those results. Nothing is hand-picked: a stock appears in a screen because it passed the rules, not because anyone likes it. The free Sunday Scan is the same eight published rules run on the same data, and every past issue stays online so you can see what came out.

What we don't do

We don't give financial advice, recommend trades or sell signals. We don't take money from companies to feature their stock. Where a link on the Resources page earns us a commission, it says so next to the link.

How we make money

Pro subscriptions only — $49 a month or $39 a month billed annually, with a founder price of $29 locked in for the first 100 subscribers. Cancel any time from your account page; the refund policy is short and we keep to it.
